MY LOVE STORY BEHIND THE BOMBO IS JUST AS EPIC AS THE BOMBO HERSELF.

"No bride will ever wear this!" ...but I would?

It started long before five years ago when I had always envisaged this cloud of mist as a skirt... I found myself having to convince almost everyone about this piece. So many confused and 'polite' faces as I attempted to create this skirt as a bridal gown. Five years on, and way too many skeptical faces later, I was ready to give up on the vision that only I could see and I moved on to create Her, a whole new collection.

But I couldn't let her go.

I could see this iridescent cloud running along the coast line and if nothing else, I just had to shoot it. Only as a back up, I brought my beloved piece to the Campaign Shoot, just in case we had time. When I took it out, I was shocked to hear the gasps instead of laughter. Finally, it seemed everybody here could see what I had seen all along. We shot the skirt as a feature piece but still, it wasn't going to make the collection... it was so different and originally belonged to another collection...

In the end, the people had spoken!

It was the show stopper I had always imagined it to be. Turns out, there are more dare devil brides than people gave credit for... And so I dubbed her The Bombo; a power force of natural silhouettes and rugged terrains. Of all my feats in landing this debut collection, nothing feels better than having my (very literally) dream design as a part of Her collection. 

I'm so glad you love Her as much as I do, and cannot wait for the first bride bold and daring enough to walk The Bombo down the aisle, helping me prove The Traditionalists all wrong...

Some brides will wear it!
